Learn English with chatGPT

Today I want to share how to learn English with chatGPT, a very popular AI tool. I started using chatGPT last November and it helped me with a lot of English writing tasks, and now I use it almost as a search engine. This post will focus on how chatGPT can help us learn English.

Many friends reported a lack of real-time feedback when learning English, such as whether the written sentences are correct, what needs to be improved in spoken English, and whether there are better ways of expression. My previous answer was that learning English does not require real-time feedback, and mistakes will be gradually corrected during the learning process. But now with chatGPT, we can have a free real-time feedback learning assistant, which is very helpful for learning.

The English learning method I recommend is re-output, that is, after accepting English input, add an output link, such as retelling after listening to a passage of English, retelling or rewriting after reading foreign journals, and trying to use it after learning new words. It makes sentences and connects usage scenarios. This is very helpful for English learning, and now we can let chatGPT judge whether our output is correct.

We can use chatGPT in different learning scenarios, such as looking up words, making sentences and getting feedback, having English conversations, rewriting English compositions and getting feedback, and even asking chatGPT directly how to use it to learn English. It is important to ask the right questions so we can get the right answers.

chatGPT can not only help us learn English, but also help us learn anything else we want to learn, such as programming. We only need to tell it our needs, and it can help us write various materials, including emails, conduct mock interviews, provide interview questions and give feedback on our answers.

Using artificial intelligence products like chatGPT made me feel the true power of artificial intelligence, rather than some "artificial mental retardation" called artificial intelligence before. It also got me thinking about which skills are irreplaceable by AI, and whether these skills will be replaced one day. For now, we can at least learn how to use AI tools to increase productivity and focus on more creative activities that cannot be replaced by AI.
