在 2019 年底，Ubuntu Pro 就已登陆亚马逊 EC2(AMazon Elastic CoMpute Cloud)。Ubuntu Pro 具有十年的软件更新/安全更新、内核实时补丁、Canonical Landscape 集成等特性。今天，Google 和 Canonical 共同宣布，Ubuntu Pro 将登陆 Google Cloud 平台。
目前，Ubuntu Pro 已经可以在 Google Cloud 上使用，以更高级的 Ubuntu 版本的身份加入操作系统可选项，而不是此前 Google 云平台上所提供的标准版 Ubuntu linux 发行版。
与亚马逊 AWS 的 Ubuntu Pro 一样，Google Cloud 的 Ubuntu Pro 包括以下特性：
为 Ubuntu 通用库提供高危和关键 CVE 的补丁，该通用库涵盖了 3 万多个软件包，包括 Node.js、MongoDB、Redis 和 Apache Kafka 等。 10 年的维护承诺(Ubuntu Pro 18.04 LTS 之后的版本，Ubuntu Pro 16.04 LTS 的维护期为 8 年)。 实时内核补丁，为虚拟机实例提供更高的安全性和更长的正常运行时间。 官方认证的组件，使操作环境符合 FedRAMP、HIPAA、PCI、GDPR 和 ISO 等合规制度。 经过认证的 FIPS 140-2 组件(功能将在 2021 年下半年提供);security command CenteR 的安全仪表板、管理应用程序和更多功能。 标准版 Ubuntu 中包含的所有标准优化和安全更新。
由于包含众多高级特性，Ubuntu Pro 在 Google Cloud 中并不是免费的，有需求的用户可以在 Google Cloud 控制台中进行购买。
