中国电信为庆祝公司在上交所主板成功发行上市，推出了回馈活动。9月1日起，10年以上网龄移动用户可获赠10GB x 12个月的流量。20年以上网龄宽带用户，将升级千兆宽带一年。届时可登陆电信营业厅app免费领取。
根据中国电信发布的年报显示，2001年其宽带用户数约为39.7万。
如果考虑中间销户等因素的影响，实际能领取到千兆宽带的人数应该是小于39.7万的。
